How Secure is the Dorchester Bookshop?
We use the Stronghold Secure Server, which encrypts any information you type in. You can safely enter your entire credit card number on the secure server and it cannot be read in transit. All the information you enter on the order form -- name, address, phone number, etc. -- will be safely encrypted.
Can I Purchase Off-Line?

What Happens to My Credit Card Number?
Once we receive your credit card, whether by phone, fax or Internet, your transaction is immediately processed. Your credit number is transferred to an off-line computer that cannot be accessed by modem or Internet.
